The annual 100,000-ton calcium hydroxide production line project in Guangxi uses limestone as the processing material. In terms of production capacity, the production line has an hourly output of 15 tons and an annual output of 100,000 tons. The feed particle size is controlled at 0 - 30mm, and the discharge particle size can be adjusted between 200 - 325 mesh to meet the diverse needs of different industries for the fineness of calcium hydroxide powder.

Process Flow of the Calcium Hydroxide Production Line Project

Crushing Stage: After being crushed into small pieces by the moving jaw and fixed jaw, the limestone enters the impact crusher for secondary crushing. The impact crusher uses the impact of the hammer plate to refine the material, and finally crushes the limestone to 0 - 30mm, providing raw materials with an appropriate particle size for subsequent reactions.

Calcium Hydroxide Generation Process: The crushed limestone is sent to a lime kiln for high-temperature calcination (900℃ - 1200℃), decomposing into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide. The calcined calcium oxide (quicklime) undergoes a slaking reaction with water in a lime slaker to produce calcium hydroxide. The ratio of water to calcium oxide and the reaction temperature are precisely controlled (too high a temperature reduces product activity, and too low a temperature affects the reaction rate). At the same time, thorough stirring and uniform mixing are carried out to accelerate the reaction, improve the slaking rate, and ensure product quality.

Technical Features of the Equipment of the Calcium Hydroxide Production Line

Lime Slaker: The double-stage slaking technology is introduced. The first-stage slaker is in the pre-slaking stage, which accelerates the reaction, and the rotation speed of the motor can be controlled by a PLC to flexibly adjust the residence time of the material. The second-stage slaker improves the stirring effect, is controlled by a variable-frequency speed-regulating motor, and ensures that the slaking rate of calcium hydroxide reaches over 98%.

Water Mist Dust Collector: The mixed gas generated by lime slaking is first initially dust-removed by a pulse dust collector, and then enters the preheated calcium hydroxide water mist dust collector for secondary and tertiary powder mist collection to reduce dust emissions. The collected calcium hydroxide water at 60 - 80℃ is precipitated and recycled for the first-stage pre-slaking, promoting the reaction, shortening the slaking time, improving the quality, and achieving zero external sewage discharge.

New Powder Selector: It can accurately adjust the fineness between 200 - 325 mesh to meet customer needs, is significantly energy-efficient, and increases the output of the mill system.

Calcium Hydroxide grinding mill: Integrates the functions of screening and grinding, accurately screens and efficiently grinds materials that do not meet the particle size requirements, reduces the floor area, lowers the maintenance cost, and improves the production continuity and stability.

DCS System: The whole process is automated to ensure stable operation.

Oxygen-enriched Combustion Technology: The lime kiln adopts oxygen-enriched combustion technology, making the fuel burn more fully, improving the combustion efficiency, reducing consumption, and a heat exchanger is installed at the kiln gas outlet to recover waste heat.
