Nickel-hard cast iron, due to its nickel-alloyed structure, has excellent wear resistance strength and lifespan in high-wear powder grinding operations in the mining industry. Although the initial cost is high, the cost-effectiveness over the entire life cycle is remarkable. These three types of materials each have their characteristics, and precise selection can be made according to impact strength, wear type, and cost budget.

Maintenance key points of the Raymond mill grinding ring

Precise model matching: The size differences of Raymond mill grinding rings among different models are significant. Mismatching can affect installation and performance. When replacing, it is necessary to refer to the instruction manual to ensure size matching.

Installation accuracy: Ensure that the gap between the grinding ring and the grinding roller is uniform (1 - 3mm). Use professional tools and techniques to avoid uneven wear that may cause equipment failures.

Synchronous replacement: Replace the grinding rollers synchronously to ensure balanced grinding effects, improve production efficiency and product quality, and reduce maintenance costs.

Wear signs: Decreased production, coarser finished product particle size, and increased equipment vibration are important signals of grinding ring wear. It is necessary to detect them in a timely manner to avoid equipment failures and production losses.

Maintenance rules: Regularly check the thickness of the grinding ring. Consider replacing it when the unilateral wear exceeds 5mm. Avoid metal foreign objects entering the grinding area. A magnetic separator can be installed and material inspection can be strengthened. Match the material of the grinding ring according to the hardness of the material to extend the service life of the grinding ring.
