Process Flow of Vertical Grinding Mills for Processing Calcium Carbonate
Crushing
Large calcium carbonate ore (≤30mm in size) is crushed into smaller particles by a jaw crusher, providing suitable raw material granularity for subsequent grinding and removing impurities to improve raw material purity.
Feeding
Crushed materials are transported orderly into the grinding process via bucket elevators and vibrating feeders working together. The bucket elevator lifts materials to the raw material bin, while the vibrating feeder uniformly and quantitatively conveys materials into the mill.
Grinding and Drying
Materials fall onto the center of the rotating grinding disc and spread under centrifugal force to the area under the grinding rollers, where they are crushed by hydraulically pressurized rollers. Simultaneously, hot air introduced from the bottom of the host machine dries the materials, improving grinding efficiency and ensuring low moisture content.
Classification
The crushed and dried powder rises with the airflow to the classifier. The high-speed rotating turbine generates centrifugal force, throwing coarse particles to the periphery to fall back onto the grinding disc for regrinding, while qualified fine powder enters the dust collector with the airflow. Adjusting the turbine speed controls product fineness.
Collection and Packaging
The dust-laden airflow enters the pulse bag dust collector, where dust is intercepted on the outer surface of the filter bags, and clean gas is discharged. When the dust on the filter surface reaches a certain resistance, the pulse control system activates, causing the dust to fall into the hopper. It is then transported to the finished product silo via a conveying system and finally packaged as required.
