Raymond Mill and Fluorite
The Raymond mill is highly compatible with the characteristics of fluorite. Fluorite has a Mohs hardness of 4 and a humidity usually ≤ 6%. The Raymond mill is suitable for non-flammable and non-explosive materials with a Mohs hardness ≤ 8 and humidity ≤ 6%, and the finished product particle size can be adjusted from 80 to 400 mesh, which can meet different needs. Its advantages are significant: high efficiency and energy saving, with a unique centrifugal force structure combined with a precise classification system, which can save more than 30% of unit power consumption cost; strong systematicness, integrating multiple functions, reducing production complexity, floor space and investment cost; environmental protection design, equipped with efficient collectors and dust removal systems to reduce dust emissions; good economy, simple structure, wear-resistant key components, and low maintenance costs; some upgraded models are equipped with PLC control systems to achieve automatic adjustment, improving production efficiency and safety.
Process of Processing Fluorite with Raymond Mill
Crushing Stage
Large pieces of fluorite raw ore are coarsely crushed by a jaw crusher, crushing the raw ore with a particle size of 100 - 300mm to about 30mm or less. The uniformity of the crushed particle size affects the subsequent grinding, and it is usually matched with a vibrating screen for screening, and unqualified materials are returned for re-crushing.
Grinding Stage
Feeding: The electromagnetic vibrating feeder feeds uniformly and quantitatively, and the feeding speed can be adjusted. The uniformity of feeding affects the grinding efficiency and quality.
Grinding: The fluorite is ground between the grinding roller and the grinding ring. According to the characteristics of fluorite, the pressure and rotation speed of the grinding roller need to be adjusted. The pressure is generally controlled at 10 - 15MPa, and the rotation speed is controlled at 100 - 150r/min.
Classification and Collection Stage
Classification: The classifier classifies by using the principles of centrifugal force and aerodynamics, and the classification particle size can be controlled by adjusting the impeller rotation speed.
Collection: Qualified powder is first collected by a cyclone separator with a collection efficiency of 80% - 90%, and a small amount of ultra-fine powder enters the pulse bag filter. The two-stage collection system can achieve a recovery rate of more than 99%.
Precautions for Processing Fluorite with Raymond Mill
Uniformity of Feeding
Select reliable feeding equipment, pay close attention to the feeding situation, and achieve continuous, stable and appropriate feeding.
Air Volume and Air Pressure
Excessive or insufficient air volume will affect the output and fineness. Air pressure ensures stable air volume, so it is necessary to select reasonably and check and adjust regularly.
Hardness and Moisture Control
Ensure the hardness of the material entering the mill is uniform, control the moisture content ≤ 1%, and do a good job in raw material moisture-proof and drying treatment.
System Sealing
Ensure good system sealing to prevent air leakage, and regularly check and repair air leakage points.
Summary
The Raymond mill, relying on its high compatibility with the characteristics of fluorite (moderate hardness and low humidity), through the integrated system of feeding, grinding, classification and collection, can efficiently, energy-saving and environmentally friendly produce 80-400 mesh fluorite powder.
