Superfine grinding mill and Granite

Granite is an acidic intrusive rock composed of 20%-40% quartz, 40%-60% feldspar, and 5%-10% mica. With a Mohs hardness of 6 - 7 and a density of 2.6 - 2.8g/cm³, its dense structure enables its wide application in fields such as architectural decoration, engineering filling, and cultural carriers. Different scenarios have different requirements for the fineness of granite powder. The Superfine grinding mill has high grinding efficiency and precise particle size control, effectively promoting the upgrading of granite processing technology towards precision and high efficiency.

Process of Granite Processing by Superfine grinding mill

Pretreatment: Adopt a two-stage crushing process of "jaw crusher + cone crusher" to control the feed particle size within 10 - 30mm, reducing the load on the main unit of the Superfine grinding mill and increasing the grinding efficiency by more than 25%.

Classification and Temperature Control: Adjust the rotation speed of the analyzer through a variable-frequency motor to control the product particle size and avoid over-crushing. Equip with a high-pressure fan and an external cooler to stably control the temperature in the grinding chamber below 70℃, reducing the adhesion of quartz particles and extending the equipment life.

Ultra-fine Grinding Solution: When the fineness requirement for granite powder is >1000 mesh, the combined process of "Superfine grinding mill + ball mill" is a must. However, the investment increases by 20% - 30%, and the energy consumption increases by 40%. Enterprises need to comprehensively consider investment, energy consumption, and selling price, evaluate the premium space, and avoid over-investment.

Key Points of Granite Processing by Superfine grinding mill

Wear-resistant Components: High manganese steel and nickel-hard cast iron are preferred for grinding rollers and grinding rings, and their surfaces can be treated with a tungsten carbide coating. The blades of the classifier are coated with polyurethane to improve wear resistance.

Dust Pollution: Equip with a pulse bag dust collector with a filtration accuracy of ≤5μm and a dust removal efficiency of 99.9%. Set up negative pressure exhaust ducts at the feed inlet, grinding chamber, and discharge outlet to control the dust concentration to meet industrial hygiene standards.

Excessive Energy Consumption: Adjust the fan power through a frequency converter with a power-saving rate of 15% - 20%. Optimize the air flow distribution in the grinding chamber using guide vanes to reduce energy consumption. The power consumption for processing 1 ton of 200-mesh granite powder is reduced to less than 25kW·h.
